Functional Testing & Monitoring

"NORMAL" IS NOT OPTIMAL

Many patients who feel unwell will often come to us brandishing normal results on tests they've already had done. Clinical experience suggests that these people are by no means "normal" and are a far cry from having optimal health. They may not yet have progressed to a known disease state but they are what we call dysfunctional, i.e. their physiological systems are no longer functioning properly and they are starting to feel un-well.

The issue is not that the tests are poor diagnostic tools, far from it. The problem is that "normal" reference ranges usually represent "average" populations rather that the optimal level required to maintain good health. Most "normal" ranges are too broad to adequately detect health problems before they become a serious issue and are not useful for detecting the emergence of dysfunction.

Below are some examples of the tests and monitoring devices that we use. All tests can be purchased separately.

Signature Blood Panel

Our signature blood panel is the most affordable and comprehensive blood analysis available today. Unique algorithms assess specific needs, deficiencies and imbalances. All presented in an easy to read patient report that links all results to the systems and organs they impact so you know exactly what you need to work on.

Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis

Most gut tests look for levels of calprotectin and perhaps certain parasites.

Our comprehensive gut analysis looks at everything from enzyme production, the health and structure of the microbiome, bacterial and fungal overgrowth, inflammatory markers and the possibility of Leaky Gut. As well as parasites, Helicobacter pylori and how well you are absorbing proteins and fats.
